Where is Benloch Ranch?

Benloch Ranch is located near the Wasatch and the Uinta Mountains and close to the Provo and Weber rivers, south of Jordanelle Reservoir on State Route 32. The Benloch Ranch community is about a 15-minute drive from downtown Park City, Utah.

What is Benloch Ranch Near?

While Benloch Ranch was created as a getaway with easy access to the outdoors and a sustainable approach that allows us to preserve the space for future generations, the community is within a short driving distance to some of the best Utah has to offer, including:

• Schools. The Benloch Ranch area is part of the highly-rated Wasatch County School District, which includes Rocky Mountain Middle School, JR Smith Elementary, and Wasatch High School. The area also has many highly ranked private schools, including Waterford School, Park City Day School, and Rowland Hall, which attract students from across the country. Students also can access charter and public schools such as Weilenmann School of Discovery and Silver Summit Academy. Utah State has a campus in Park City.

• Airport. The Salt Lake City International Airport is only 35 minutes away and allows you to fly Delta and other major carriers across the country or around the world.

• Shopping. Park City has many shopping options, including independent shops in the historic district, an outlet mall, shopping centers, and shopping along Main Street. Retail options include gourmet stores, clothing boutiques, beauty products, sports equipment, antiques, and just about everything else. Benloch Ranch is also offering shops as part of its proposed amenities, so living here means always being close to what you need.

• Hiking. Enjoy almost 600 miles of hiking and biking trails virtually in your backyard. Hiking and biking trails around Park City and Deer Valley include everything from rugged overnight trails for advanced backpackers to simple trails that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Trails take hikers past wildflowers, aspen groves, along the shorelines of lakes, and along mountain paths with sweeping views of the valleys and mountains of the area.

• Skiing. If the mountains call you, you’ll love the fact that Benloch Ranch is an hour drive or less from ten world-class ski resorts, including Powder Mountain, Mayflower Resort, Park City, Deer Valley, Solitude, Alta, Brighton, Snowbird, the Canyons, and more. You can reach the Deer Valley Gondola in about 15 minutes from Benloch Ranch.

• Golfing. Benloch Ranch is close to 15 golf courses, including Olympic courses and courses played by (and designed by) some of the top names in the game. The altitude in the area can even help your game by reducing friction.

• Fishing. Trophy fishing is available at the Weber and Provo rivers as well as in the many streams, lakes, rivers, and mountain waterways in the area. World-class fly fishing is available here and it’s possible to catch trout, tiger muskie, kokanee salmon, white bass, walleye, and other fish. And if you love boating, the Jordanelle State Park boat launch is just a five-minute drive away.

• Restaurants. Park City and the surrounding area are home to a huge array of restaurants, so you can choose from Asian cuisine, American food, pizza, barbecue, and more. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite at a teahouse or want a true foodie experience, there are chefs in the area catering to your needs. The nearby Fox School of Wine and High West Distillery and Refectory offer tastings to refine your palate. There are even caterers and private chefs in the area if you’ll be entertaining. The boutique market in the Village near the Benloch Ranch entrance offers groceries and quick snacks while the cafe in the Village will be the perfect spot for a quick bite or a coffee to go.

• Health care. Park City Hospital, urgent care centers, specialists, and medical offices are a short drive away. Snow Creek Medical Center, the University of Utah Health Redstone Health Center, Round Valley Clinic, and other nearby facilities serve virtually every need.

• Entertainment. It’s impossible to be bored At Benloch Ranch, with its close proximity to year-round adventures at Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, and Utah Olympic Park. Try horseback riding, hot air ballooning, bobsledding, ziplining, snowshoeing, skating, spa days, and more. All of these are just a short drive away.

• Water adventures. Paddleboarding, kayaking, river rafting, swimming, and other fun in the water await at nearby lakes and waterways. Benloch Ranch Sports has rentals and classes to get you started.

• Nature. Yellowstone and four other national parks as well as forty state parks are just a few hours' drive away, so you can explore hiking, mountain biking, or just sitting in nature.

• Cultural activities. Each January, visitors from around the world come to Park City to enjoy the famous Sundance Film Festival, which residents of Benloch Ranch can access just a short drive away. There’s also the Utah Symphony/Deer Valley Music Festival, and the Kimball Arts Festival as well as local theater to discover.

• City adventures. Park City has an active nightlife and music scene. If you want to explore the city, your modern mountain retreat in Benloch Ranch makes it easy to get to the city and back.
