UTAH SYMPHONY/UTAH OPERA DEER VALLEY MUSIC FESTIVAL,

JULY–AUGUST

Want to experience your favorite music while at an outdoor concert under the stars? You can at the Utah Symphony/Utah Opera Deer Valley Music Festival. The eight-week series in July and early August offers a diverse lineup of renowned guest artists and musical styles, including chamber, classical, and opera. Pop and rock artists are also a huge draw here, with past performers including the Beach Boys, the B-52s, Earth, Wind & Fire, Smokey Robinson, Elvis Costello, and so many more. Catch your favorite band, or experience something completely new while seated at various outdoor venues throughout town, surrounded by the picturesque Wasatch Mountains. 

KIMBALL ARTS FESTIVAL, AUGUST 6–8, 2021

For more than 50 years, Park City’s historic Main Street has hosted the annual Kimball Arts Festival, with 13 different art mediums represented. Each year, attendees can view and purchase art from more than 1,000 professional artists from around the country. But that’s not all. The three-day event also features live music and a host of creative and collaborative activities, from art classes to education programs. Make a day or weekend of it, and indulge in the festival’s artisanal cuisine, as well as multiple wine and beer gardens. Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended for the Kimball Arts Festival.

MINERS DAY CELEBRATION (SEPTEMBER 6, 2021):

Relive the simplicity of small-town America at Park City’s annual Miner Day celebration. The parade and festivities are held each year on Labor Day to honor Park City’s silver-mining heritage. The festivities include marching bands and community floats parading down historic Main Street, which travel on down to City Park for a day’s worth of fun to celebrate the end of summer. Bring the family and join the community for a barbecue lunch, a mucking and drilling competition, and mountain town music concerts in the park. And make sure not to miss local favorite events the Funky 5K run and the “Running of the Balls.”

PARK CITY FARMER’S MARKET

There’s so many reasons to skip the supermarket in favor of a farmer’s market. From eating fresh, locally grown foods to stimulating the Park City economy and preserving nearby farms, the Park City Farmer’s Market is good for you and the community at large. This seasonal outdoor market is held every Wednesday, running from May through October, and offers fresh, organic products from Utah farmers and vendors.
